Included in this area are those groups and ministries whose primary focus is to plan, enhance and improve the quality of liturgical celebrations.

Eucharistic Ministers assist in distributing Holy Eucharist at daily and weekend Masses and in bringing the Eucharist to the sick and the homebound.  Contact David Whitman.

Lectors proclaim God’s word at weekend Masses bringing spiritual nourishment from the Sacred Scriptures.  Contact Steve Russo.

Ushers greet and seat parishioners in a friendly community manner, in addition to passing the collection baskets.  Contact George Uzwiak.

Altar Servers assist and aid the clergy and the parish community in serving at God’s altar at weekend, daily and special Masses. Altar servers can be of any age from grade four in elementary school to high school through adult.  Contact Luanne Levine.

Altar Society with love and devotion assists in the overall cleanliness of the church and ensures that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be received in a pleasant environment.  Contact Nan Gregg or Joann Sciglimpaglia.

9am Youth Mass assists in the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children of Saint Matthew Parish through their participation as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Altar Servers and Ushers.  Contact Laurie Fan at lfan1@optonline.net

Flower Committee is dedicated to giving glory and praise to God by beautifying our Sanctuary. Through the expression of their talent and creativity, the committee shares its adoration and love of God with others, and gives back to Him some of the beauty He has given to us.  Contact Aggie Squeo.
